One Shot by Lee ChildMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
Great book.
The police have an open and shut case against James Barr in the slaughter of five people in the town square, the only problem is he is innocent. Barr knows his one chance to prove his innocence is to get Jack Reacher. But no one can find Reacher.
Seeing the massacre on the news and hearing the purported killers name Reacher heads to town to make sure this time Barr pays for gunning down innocent people. But when he receives a hostile reception due to the misconception that that he is there to "help" Barr, Reacher takes another look at the evidence and uncovers a conspiracy to frame an innocent man for a crime he didn't commit in order to cover up the murder of Oline Archer. Now Reacher must rescue Barr's sister from "The Zec" and discover if the dirty insider is the cop Emerson or the D.A. Rodin.
